What is the Purpose of the Foundation?

Villa Park is known as a family town. The Foundation is committed to planning, underwriting and presentation of safe recreational and educational activities for youth, adults and seniors. Other focal points are the procurements and coordination of community use and/or development of tangible resources. Partnering with the City of Villa Park, our local groups and schools plus organizations such as the Villa Park Women’s League and Rotary Club of Villa Park, promotes mutual support, genuine goodwill and increased volunteerism throughout the community.

What is the Foundation?

Established by the City of Villa Park in 2002, it is a 501c3 charitable, non profit organization designed to increase the potential of citizen volunteerism and special events without major city expense. Membership, sponsorship and donations to the Foundation are tax deductible, to the extent permitted under the law.

Meetings are usually held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. All board members volunteer their efforts. Board positions are open periodically. Those interested in applying will find an application on the Board Page.

Who funds the Foundation?

Throughout the years, the Foundation has successfully requested County of Orange supervisors, public utilities, corporations and businesses serving our city as well as residents to share in the enthusiasm of the Foundation by supporting its efforts through donations and yearly memberships. Depending upon their “jewel” level of giving, donors are provided opportunities for recognition in Foundation publicity and at events. Invitations to special receptions or VIP access may also reflect their generosity. The Foundation operational funds are also received through the underwriting of special events. Current financial information is posted on this website and reviewed /approved at monthly board meetings. Thanks to the generosity of members, donors, sponsors and volunteers, the Foundation financial stability and event quality ensures high happiness meter readings in Villa Park.
