About the Foundation
Enriching Lives through Recreation and Collaboration
The Villa Park Community Services Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides safe recreational and educational activities for all age groups. We also secure and coordinate community resources, promoting support and volunteerism by partnering with the City of Villa Park and local organizations such as the Villa Park Women’s League and the Rotary Club of Villa Park.
Our Purpose
To provide safe recreational and other community activity opportunities for youth, adults, and seniors.
To coordinate the planning, preservation, and presentation of leisure, historical, music, and/or arts programs within the City of Villa Park.
To coordinate the use and development of community resources
To promote and support activities that advance the overall quality of life in the City of Villa Park.
To own and maintain suitable real and personal property, which is deemed necessary for the purpose of this Foundation.
To receive, hold, and disburse gifts, bequests, devises, and other funds to advance the purpose of the Foundation.
Who Administers the Foundation?
Initially, the organization had five Board Directors and two City Council members. Now, twelve Directors are appointed by the City Council Vice President and two council members. Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. All board members are volunteers, and positions open periodically. Interested applicants can find the application on the Board Page.
Who Funds the Foundation?
Over the years, the Foundation has successfully engaged the County of Orange supervisors, public utilities, corporations, local businesses, and residents to share in its mission by supporting its efforts through donations and annual memberships. Depending on their giving level, referred to as “jewel” levels, donors are presented with opportunities for recognition in Foundation publicity and at events. Additionally, donors may receive invitations to special receptions or VIP access as a token of appreciation for their generosity. The Foundation’s operational funds are also supported through sponsorship of special events. Current financial information is available on this website and is reviewed and approved at monthly board meetings. Thanks to the generosity of our members, donors, sponsors, and volunteers, the Foundation maintains financial stability and high-quality events, contributing to a positive atmosphere in Villa Park.
